My name is Molly Bergstrom, and I’m a Senior at The University of Akron. I’ll be graduating in May 2026 with a double major in Marketing & Sales Management, along with a certificate in Business Data Analytics. I’m energized by work that blends creativity with analytical thinking, especially when I get to collaborate with a team. Brand management is one of my favorite spaces to work in, and I love tackling projects where strategy, storytelling, and data all intersect.
Growing up with two parents in the business world, it felt natural for me to gravitate toward that space as well. My first real exposure to marketing came in high school through Wisconsin DECA, where I discovered how much I loved blending creativity with strategy. Over the years, I served in multiple executive roles from VP of Community Service to eventually Chapter President, and those experiences shaped me in ways I didn’t expect. DECA pushed me to think on my feet, pitch ideas with confidence, and develop quick, strategic solutions under pressure.
By the time I entered college, I knew I wanted a degree path that allowed me to explore all of those dimensions, creativity, analysis, leadership, and strategy, and that’s exactly what led me to Marketing, Sales Management, and Business Data Analytics.
FUN FACT: I have painted 2 murals!
Outside of academics, I love to travel and explore anything creative. My family spends a lot of time boating in the summer, whether we’re back home in Wisconsin or visiting Tennessee. Creativity is a big part of my life, I enjoy building Legos, painting, drawing, and I’ve even worked with stained glass, murals, and mosaics. I especially love creating things for friends and family, and that creative energy carries into the rest of my life too. I’m also a big animal lover, home is always lively thanks to a mix of cats, dogs, and fish that keep things interesting.
